Job summary

Reworld is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely process inbound materials and manage refuse using diverse industrial equipment across our facilities. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to housekeeping standards in a dynamic waste-management environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of experience with industrial equipment, be capable of rotating shifts, and commit to a broad range of duties from site maintenance to equipment repair assistance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating industrial equipment is preferred.
• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process inbound materials using various industrial equipment (forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, etc.).
• Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers as needed.
• Safely consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with safety standards across facilities.
• Assist with exterior site maintenance (litter removal, painting, snow and ice control).
• Control traffic for inbound/outbound vehicles.
• Assist facility mechanics with equipment repairs and routine tasks.

About the role

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld’s industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities:

• Receive and process inbound materials, through the safe operation of various types of industrial equipment, such as: forklift, track hoe, skid steer, vacuum truck, tanker truck, roll-off truck, walking floor trailer, pressure washer, material handling equipment, and various hand tools
• Receive, weigh, unpack, and label containers, as necessary
• Safely operate industrial equipment to consolidate dumped refuse on the tipping floor
• Follow defined industrial and manufacturing good housekeeping practices at all Reworld facilities and within assigned work areas
• Exterior site maintenance and improvement, as needed, which includes: litter collection, painting, snow removal and ice prevention
• Traffic Control for incoming/outgoing traffic
• Assist facility mechanic(s) with equipment repairs
• Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations

Position Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
• A minimum of 1 year experience operating industrial equipment
• Must have the ability to work a rotating shift schedule

Pay Transparency

This role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The pay rate and benefits will be according to CBA for the role.
