Primary Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in all manufacturing processes, including performing quality inspections, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to contribute to the success of a high-performing team.
- Ensure all production, quality, delay, and waste documentation is recorded accurately.
- Document and communicate operational results as required.
Safety Standards
- Operate sophisticated, high-speed production machinery with a focus on safety.
- Help foster a culture where safety is the top priority for everyone.
- Actively promote and adhere to the three core obligations.
- Support the SIRA, ETQ, and Safety Observation systems.
- Contribute to departmental cleanliness and organization efforts.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure consistent product quality throughout production.
- Conduct regular quality assessments during your shift.
- Assist in maintaining quality systems, including metal detectors, bag/case weighers, stand checks, and quality trackers.
- Understand how product attributes are measured to ensure targets are met.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a GED or high school diploma accredited by the US Department of Education or a state equivalent.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Bring 1 to 3 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing experience, or equivalent military training.
- Commit to a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, which includes holidays, weekends, nights, and overtime.
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds, navigating stairs, performing repetitive bending or crouching, and using firm hand grips.
- Willingness to wear mandatory PPE, such as eye, ear, and toe protection, while working in areas with potential chemical, dust, or noise exposure.
- Prior experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment, such as forklifts or tractors, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple complex tasks while working autonomously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Foundational technical, mechanical, or manufacturing skills.
- Proven mechanical aptitude, specifically regarding problem resolution and troubleshooting.
- Prior or current experience operating industrial tractors or forklifts.
- Proficiency in a manufacturing environment.
