Job description

We are currently seeking a Equipment Operator for our Lafayette Township, NJ plant on Day/night shift.

What you will do:

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Operate a CAT 988 or John Deer 350 excavator, and/or equipment of equivalent magnitude
• Perform daily maintenance on the machines
• Load the plants and trucks
• Maintain safe stock piles and keep the unpaved roads safe for passage by vehicle traffic
• Interact with customers
• Assist the plant operator with any required maintenance when the plant is not running
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

What you will need:

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Working Conditions and Physical Environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
