American-Eagle-Ready-Mix-Utah-LL is seeking an Equipment Operator to operate heavy equipment at our concrete facility in Jean, Nevada. You will load aggregates, maintain stockpiles, and keep haul roads clean while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities include daily equipment checks, minor maintenance, and assisting with yard and plant tasks. Lifting up to 50 pounds and flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, are required.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
  • Valid Class D driver's license with clean driving record.
  • DOT Medical Certification required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and physicals.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate front-end loader and other heavy equipment safely.
  • Load aggregates into bins and trucks; maintain stockpiles.
  • Perform routine inspections, fueling, greasing, and cleaning.
  • Assist with plant and yard maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Follow safety policies and report hazards promptly.
  • Work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Job Title: Equipment OperatorJob Summary:The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment to support concrete plant operations. Primary duties include loading aggregate bins, loading trucks, maintaining aggregate stockpiles, and ensuring haul roads and yard areas are properly maintained. The position requires routine machine maintenance, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Work hours will vary and may include nights and weekends.Key Responsibilities:Safety and Compliance:Operate equipment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.Follow all applicable safety regulations and immediately report unsafe conditions or policy violations.Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement efforts to maintain a safe workplace.Equipment Operation and Maintenance:Operate front-end loader and other heavy equipment, including Skid Steer, Excavator, and Manlift, within their designed parameters.Perform routine daily service inspections, fueling, greasing, and cleaning of equipment.Maintain cleanliness of the work area, aggregate bins, and plant yard.Report major equipment problems to the supervisor for resolution.Plant and Yard Support:Assist with plant and yard maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.Support general plant cleanliness and upkeep.Hazard Awareness:Take immediate corrective action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe and efficient operation.Other Duties:Perform additional tasks or assignments as directed by management to meet operational needs.Critical Skills:Attendance: Reliable, regular, and predictable attendance with flexibility to work varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.Independence: Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.Teamwork: Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team environment.Time Management: Effectively prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.Problem-Solving: Ability to recognize and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.Adaptability: Willingness to adjust to changing priorities and work conditions.Requirements:Experience: One (1) to three (3) years of heavy equipment operation experience, including front-end loader operation preferred.Licenses/Certifications: Valid Class D Driver License with an acceptable driving record and current DOT Medical Certification.Testing: Must successfully pass all pre-employment and company-required drug and alcohol testing, physical examinations, and any other applicable screenings.Safety: Ability to comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and required training.Attendance: Reliable attendance and the ability to work varying schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.Working Conditions:Work is performed primarily outdoors at plants, yards, and project sites.Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noise, vibration, dust, dirt, mud, moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and airborne particles.May work around uneven terrain, wet or slippery surfaces, and other industrial hazards.Schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended hours based on operational needs.Required to wear company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to a hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, high-visibility clothing, and steel-toed boots.Physical Requirements:Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds; occasionally move heavier loads with assistance or mechanical lifting equipment.Prolonged standing, walking, climbing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, balancing, and working on uneven terrain.Frequently climb into and out of heavy equipment and access elevated equipment components for inspections and maintenance.Frequent reaching, grasping, handling, and repetitive use of hands and arms while operating equipment and performing inspections.Ability to safely operate heavy equipment for extended periods while maintaining awareness of surroundings.Ability to visually inspect equipment, work areas, and surroundings and communicate effectively to safely perform the essential functions of the position.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels, dust, vibration, fumes, and around moving mechanical parts while following established safety procedures and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
