Job summary

Florida Canyon Mining, Inc. in Imlay, NV seeks an Open Pit Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate haulage, support, or loading equipment used in an open pit mining operation.

Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, you will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, follow procedures for mobile equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year’s experience operating mining equipment (surface) preferred.
• Ability to operate a 2-way radio.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
