Job description

Responsibilities

Be capable of performing daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspection on equipment.

Perform basic maintenance on equipment including greasing, checking and filling fluids, fueling equipment, cleaning equipment and assisting with more complex maintenance.

Obtain and maintain MSHA training for working in a mine/open‑pit environment, following all Federal MSHA regulations while working on the mine site.

Be capable of using three points of contact when climbing up and down ladders to enter and exit the cab: frequently.

Demonstrate basic controls and safe operation of equipment. Perform work‑site inspections before and after work is completed. Work safely with other team members and alone, and be able to recognize and report hazards.

Be willing to assist with other jobs and work details as assigned when equipment is not needed.

Follow all company policies and procedures, including all safety policies.

Be capable of operating equipment in winter weather conditions. The work environment is outdoors and year‑round. Work different shifts as needed.
