Join Waste Connections as a Heavy Equipment Operator at ourLandfill in Houston, TX. Landfill is located at 4107 S Sam Houston Pkwy W Houston, TX 77053. In this position you will be operating our Dozers, Excavators, Compactor, along with trucks and smaller equipment at our solid waste landfill.

Job Duties:

*Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
*Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
*Excavating soil using an excavator
*Maintaining haul roads using a grader
*Hauling soil
*Work in a fast paced, team environment
*Follow safe operating practices
*Learn and use interpersonal skills relating to good customer service

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
*Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 60 pounds.
*The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

Requirements:
*Valid driver's license.
*Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
