Job summary

ExxonMobil Advanced Graphite Solutions in Hopkinsville, KY seeks an Equipment Operator to learn and run the plant process, perform rounds, and complete required documentation. You will assist in maintenance, equipment handling, and material moves while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires at least one year in an industrial setting, ability to read instructions, and flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year in an industrial setting; internal experience preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills are required.
• Mechanical skills using basic tools.
• Clear communication abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and procedures.
• Safety-minded in a multi-level, high-temperature, sometimes confined environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Learn the full process: theory, flow diagrams, controls, instrumentation.
• Complete forms, run sheets, and operation documents as required.
• Conduct hourly furnace and plant rounds and record readings.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report faults as needed.
• Assist in installing, removing, and maintaining equipment/buildings.
• Move railcars and unload raw material trucks.
• Maintain housekeeping and assist plant cleanup.
• Handle raw material or product during breakdowns when required.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality guidelines.
