Job summary

ExxonMobil Advanced Graphite Solutions in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking an Operations Technician to support multi-level industrial production. You will learn and operate the full production and off-gas process, manage materials, and perform quality checks in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, solid mechanical skills, and the ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends. Proficiency with MS Word and Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Sound manufacturing safety knowledge and principles (LOTO, Permitting, OSHA 1910).
  • Mechanical skills involving the use of basic tools.
  • Basic mathematical and chemistry skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manual.
  • Ability to safely work in a non-production line setting.
  • Ability to work in multi-level building and at times confined spaces.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Ability to work rotating shift schedule as assigned including nights and weekends.
  • Competent computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel)

Responsibilities

  • Follows established procedures to produce quality products for customers.
  • Learns production and off gas processes and ensures operation per procedures.
  • Loads material into equipment and initiates run cycles.
  • Bags and palletizes product according to instructions.
  • Runs required lab tests on raw material and product and documents results.
  • Performs preventive maintenance as required.
  • Assists in installing, removing, and maintaining equipment and buildings.
  • Operates forklift, bagger, and other industrial equipment as required.
  • Performs routine housekeeping and plant cleanup.
  • Develops operational procedures.
  • Complies with policies and safety/environment/quality guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
