Job summary

Greenhill Sand is seeking an Equipment Operator for construction-related plant operation and maintenance. The role requires safe, efficient operation following PPE and process requirements and is safety sensitive.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, loading and feeding the plant, operating loaders and trucks, and reporting issues to supervision. Candidates should be able to handle long days (10+ hours) and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2-3 years of experience in plant maintenance preferred.
• MSHA Miner Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company policies and MSHA regulations for safe procedures and environment.
• Maintain a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers.
• Grease, change oil and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Report major maintenance problems to Superintendent.
• Repair and replace conveyor belts when needed.
• Change plant screens when needed.
• Maintain plant site and plant with skid steer, shovel, and wash down with hose.
• Operate small power tools.
• Operate water truck for dust control of roads.
• Operate front end loader to feed the plant and load trucks when needed.
• Ensure daily maintenance of plant is completed.
• Attend work regularly.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role is responsible for operation and maintenance of the plant. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. This role is classified as safety sensitive.

ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE

• Properly follow all company policies and MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers.
• Greases, performs oil changes and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Report all major maintenance problems to Superintendent.
• Repair and replace conveyor belts when needed.
• Change plant screens when needed.
• Maintain plant site and plant with skid steer, shovel, and wash down with hose.
• Operate small power tools.
