Metro Staffing Solutions has partnered with the largest after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts to identify talented individuals to join their team at the distribution center located in Grapevine, TX.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check specifications. Load/unload production lines.
• Utilize measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc.).
• Perform 100% manual inspection of parts.
• Inspect parts produced to ensure they meet specifications, using essential inspection equipment.
• Make necessary offsets.
• Change/adjust production tooling.
• Complete production paperwork.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance, remove and dispose of chips/shavings, replenish fluids/lubricants.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas, including performing 5S cleaning responsibilities.
• Understand and review the product throughout the production process to ensure the final product quality meets standards.
• Work overtime if needed and maintain excellent attendance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
• Follow additional instructions or duties as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 1 year of general warehouse experience.
• Experience in machining and using measuring tools such as drop indicators, dial gauges, plug gauges, and calipers.
• Ability to read build tickets to assemble the finished product.

MUST HAVES

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 90 lbs consistently.
• Ability to work 8-12 hour shifts.
• Capability to withstand long periods of standing, bending, twisting, and lifting.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment on production lines.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

STEEL-TOED BOOTS REQUIRED ON THE FIRST DAY
