Job summary

Fabcon in Grandville, MI, is seeking a Production Laborer / Equipment Operator (Mobile Crane and Switcher) to join our manufacturing team. This permanent, full-time role covers 1st shift (5:00 am to completion, Mon–Fri) and 3rd shift (10:00 pm to completion, Sun–Thu).

You will operate equipment to support the production of precast concrete products. Responsibilities include moving materials to production lines, coordinating with crews, and safely disposing of scrap.

• Safe operation of heavy equipment on a daily basis.
• Ability to move materials to production lines.
• Effective communication with production crews.

Description

Production Laborer – Grandville, MI
We are looking for an Equipment Operator (Mobile Crane and Switcher truck) to join our team.

Permanent/Full Time, 1st Shift: 5:00 am to work completion, Monday – Friday

3rd Shift: 10:00 pm to work completion, Sunday - Thursday

Perform equipment operation necessary to assist with the manufacturing of high-quality precast concrete products.

Salary Range: $21-29/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of machinery on a daily basis


• Delivering materials of various size and weight to the Production lines to supply them on a daily basis. (Wet concrete, fabricated steel, etc.)


• Maintain consistent communication between other operators and production crews throughout the day in order to provide exceptional service


• Properly dispose of scrap materials throughout the day

Requirements

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions with little to no climate control and regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, vibrations, varying lighting conditions, stairs, and narrow walkways.


• Requires the ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs., walk, climb, bend, reach, use hand tools with force, maintain spatial awareness and depth perception, and communicate effectively in a busy industrial environment.


• Ability to carry out complex verbal instructions.


• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct.


• Ability to work overtime when required.
