Silver Creek Materials on Fort Worth's west side is seeking an Equipment Operator to run a forklift in the Liquids Destruction area. You will uphold safety protocols, perform pre-shift inspections, and assist with routine maintenance while moving materials and pallets efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years in mining/construction/recycling, and strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities to support a safe, productive site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in recycling, mining or construction.
• Proven forklift operation experience and safety compliance.
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and move materials safely and efficiently.

Job Title: Equipment Operator

Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Position Type : Full time

Typical Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:00pm & Saturday 7:00am-1:00pm (on as needed basis)

Pay Range: $17.00-$18.00

About the role:

An Equipment Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the forklift in the Liquids Destruction area. The operator must possess technical skills to handle heavy equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. This role requires physical stamina, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively as part of a team.

What you'll do:

• Operate a forklift and perform assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct pre-operation inspections
• Follow established safety procedures and protocols
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Report any issues or malfunctions promptly
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs and servicing
• Use forklift to move, unload, and transport various materials or pallets.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage
• Conduct pre-shift inspections, fuel consumption, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents, as required by company policies and regulations.
• Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors, following instructions, providing status updates, and reporting any issues or concerns related to equipment operation or site conditions.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding equipment operation, environmental standards, and occupational health and safety

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Must have a minimum 2 years verifiable experience in the recycling, mining or construction industry.
• Proven experience operating a forklift
• Solid understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment operation
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing work conditions
