Job summary

Silver Creek Materials, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Forklift Operator - Compost to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment within our compost, mulch, and recycling facility.

You will move, load, unload, and organize materials, conduct daily equipment checks, follow OSHA and safety policies, and assist with yard operations to ensure efficient production and customer service. Valid forklift certification preferred or obtained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Previous forklift or heavy equipment operating experience preferred.
• Experience in outdoor industrial environments is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Unload trucks with compost, soil blends, and other materials.
• Transport materials throughout the yard, warehouse, and production areas.

About the role

A Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material‑handling equipment to move, load, unload, stack, and organize materials within our aggregate, compost, mulch, and recycling facility. The role requires adherence to safety regulations, accurate inventory handling, and efficient movement of goods, assisting with yard operations to ensure efficient production and customer service. Employees may be exposed to dust, noise, heavy equipment traffic, and changing weather conditions. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.

What you’ll do
