Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries, based in Quincy, California, is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to support our sawmill operations. The role requires loading and unloading log trucks, sorting logs by species, and feeding logs to the sawmill.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ prior loader operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate frontend loader to load/unload log trucks.
• Sort logs by species and feed logs to the sawmill.
• Climb ladders on heavy equipment and operate machinery.
• Learn to operate chipper, heel boom loader, and plow snow with the loader in the winter.
• The work is fast-paced and can be demanding.
• Repetitive lifting and working in both hot and cold environments.
• Work may include overtime and weekend shifts during busy production times.

Currently, we are seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator to work collaboratively with our sawmill based in Quincy, California.

About The Position
