Holbrook Asphalt, Llc in Seguin, TX is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to perform setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on company vehicles and heavy equipment. The role involves shop and field work, with occasional travel up to 5 days.

Must have a Class A CDL; wage $35-39 per hour DOE with a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401k, HSA, life insurance, and PTO. Overtime and out-of-town work required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience maintaining vehicles and equipment.
• Must be hard-working, dependable and able to meet physical demands.
• Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency and scheduled repairs of vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment.
• Performs inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Prepares and sets up equipment for daily use by crews.
• Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Reads and interprets manuals and work orders.
• Complies with OSHA safety and health rules.

The Equipment Mechanic is responsible for setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service on Company vehicles and equipment. The position requires you to operate a variety of hand/power tools and working with pickup trucks, trailers, small and large pavement preservation equipment, diesel trucks and trailers, and other Company equipment. This position may work approximately 50% of the time in the shop, and the other 50% of the time on job sites with a fully equipped maintenance truck. Overtime and frequent out-of-town work (up to 5 days) required.

Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of operations equipment during operations and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment.
• Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Prepares and sets up equipment daily use by asphalt crew members.
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.
