Job summary

C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc is hiring a Truck Shop Mechanic to service and repair company vehicles, commercial trucks, and trailers. The role requires performing daily maintenance checks and reporting safety issues to a supervisor.

You will also undertake repairs as needed and participate in yard operations such as moving trucks. Responsibilities include assessing failures, maintaining fluids, loading/unloading materials, and general truck and equipment upkeep.

Job description

Truck Shop Mechanic's primary function is to service and repair Company vehicles, Commercial trucks, and trailers. The Mechanic must perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to a supervisor. In addition, Mechanics are required to perform repairs to vehicles as needed. The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties:

The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, stooping, and bending. Employee must be able to climb equipment's ladder to reach the operator's seat.
