Job summary

ODW Logistics, Inc. seeks a Reach Truck Operator to support accurate and efficient order fulfillment at our Lockbourne, OH location. This role involves operating reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and walkie riders, with responsibilities including material handling, labeling, staging, and shipping in a fast-paced warehouse.

Applicants should have a high school diploma (preferred) and forklift/reach certification (required). WMS experience with RF scanners or voice is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Details actual tasks vs. expected tasks thru comparison of picking/packing lists to customer documents.
  • Recounts product before shipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Labels and addresses product and transports to shipping staging area.
  • Ensures products meet all requirements before packing and shipping.
  • Handles all products per customer and employer procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with Warehouse, Management, Co-workers, and Customers.

Time: 9am to 1pm

Shift 1 st or 2 nd shift

The Reach Truck Operator, Stand-Up Forklift and Walkie Rider, holds the responsibility for the accurate and efficient completion of the defined order fulfillment process, which may include material handling, equipment operation, transportation, selection, identification, verification, placement, staging, labeling, and shipping of required product as directed.

  • Essential Functions for Reach Truck Operator
  • Details actual tasks vs. expected tasks thru the comparison of picking and/or packing lists to customer documents.
  • Recounts product before shipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Labels and addresses product as required and transports product to the staging area of the shipping department.
  • Ensures product(s) meet(s) all requirements before packing and shipping.
  • Handles all products according to customer and employer procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with Warehouse, Management, Co-workers, and Customers.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • Forklift and Reach certification (Required)
  • Must possess a high energy level and be willing and eager to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Warehouse management system experience, including RF scanners and/or Voice (Preferred).
  • Must be detailed oriented and be able to handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • T Ability to excel in a team-oriented environment dedicated to safety, customer satisfaction, and achievement of quality and productivity goals.

Physical & Mental Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires the ability to:

  • Hear, read and comprehend, write, and communicate
  • Continuously sit, type, and perform repetitive wrist motion
  • Occasionally stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn or reach
  • Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant, along with depth perception capabilities
  • Moderate overtime and occasional weekend work
  • Lift up to 35 pounds entire shift
  • Work various shifts on short notice
  • Spend 95% of time on warehouse floor in fast-paced environment
