Opportunity - Equipment Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate: $25 - $35/hr. (based on experience)

Location: Flowery Branch, GA

Contract Lumber is seeking a dedicated Equipment Maintenance Technician to support our lumber operations. We build strategic alliances with our builder customers to maximize efficiency and profitability, emphasizing exceptional customer service and quality materials.

The technician will maintain and repair equipment such as Bunk Cutters, Dust Collectors, EWP saws, Norfield door equipment, etc. Responsibilities include responding to service calls, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting operations. Travel within the state to other locations will be required; a company vehicle and tools are provided.

Daily responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair equipment across multiple facilities in Atlanta, including Flowery Branch and Newnan, GA
• Respond to service calls, perform PMs, and handle breakdowns
• Document work accurately and promptly
• Communicate findings and needs with supervisors and team members
• Coordinate with outside contractors or vendors
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Support inventory management
• Follow safety procedures such as lockout/tagout
• Have fun and enjoy your work!

Required skills:

• Positive attitude and team player
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience or equivalent trade school/degree/certification
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
• Willingness to travel short-term and work overtime as needed
• Ability to work independently or in a team
• Experience with forklifts, scissor lifts, and other PIVs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook
