Job Summary

The Lead Repair Technician role is responsible for durable medical equipment repair.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains all oxygen and durable medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators, liquid oxygen systems, nebulizers, suction machines, and CPAP's.
• Also performs most complex repairs and maintenance on HME equipment.
• Ensures equipment is repaired in an efficient and timely manner to maintain adequate levels of stock in warehouse.
• Maintains patient ready stock levels and orders necessary parts.
• Ensures both group and individual productivity standards are met.
• Makes recommendations on performance appraisals, selection, promotion, merit increases and employee discipline.
• Ensures that all technicians are properly trained and monitors all aspects of their job function, including attendance, safety, appearance, and productivity.
• Ensures quality of work is compliant with JCAHO, FDA and Apria Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate files of all repairs made and all parts and equipment ordered.
• Assigns, directs work, and coaches staff.
• Schedules and organizes work assignments and service training
• Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
  
  

Education And/or Experience

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
• At least five years related experience is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
