Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Palm Bay, FL is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment in a Class 1 cleanroom.

The role requires 5+ years in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, strong mechanical and electronic skills, and excellent communication. This onsite position offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• AS/AA or 5+ years relevant experience in electrical/mechanical field.
• 5+ years supporting semiconductor tooling and equipment.
• Experience in a cleanroom environment is required.
• Strong mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Etch area tools.
• Maintain tool sets including Axcelis Fusion and Semitool equipment.
• Support ITAR-compliant access and safety requirements.
• Work a compressed work week with day/night shifts.

Renesas Electronics is looking for an experienced semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing facility in Palm Bay, Florida. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written and communication skills. This position offers development opportunities working for a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors.This position involves the preventative and corrective maintenance of electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment in a Class 1 cleanroom.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• AS or AA in electrical, mechanical, military training, or 5+ years relevant work experience.

Experience Requirements / Skills:

• 5+ years supporting AMAT Centura 5200 MxP, AMAT 8330/8110, AMAT P5000 MxP, Gasonics Aura 1000, Gasonics Iridia, STS HRM Bosch Trench Etcher.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a semiconductor‑manufacturing environment with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Equipment Maintenance Field.
• Strong mechanical skills
• Strong electronic skills
• Excellent Oral communication skills
• Excellent Written Communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Must have knowledge of SPC and know how it is used and implemented in the manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Essential Job Responsibilities: This position involves the preventative and corrective maintenance of the tool sets found in the Etch area. Additional tool sets include Axcelis Fusion, Semitool SST, Semitool SRD, and manual wet benches.

Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Renesas is unable to sponsor applicants for work visas for this position now or in the future.

Hours are on a compressed work week, 3 days on 7am to 7pm one week, and 4 days the next week. Both day and night shifts available.

Due to the nature of this position and the required access to areas where ITAR-controlled articles and/or technical data may be present, candidates must meet the applicable U.S. person requirements for ITAR access. This includes individuals who are:

• A U.S. citizen or U.S. national;
• A lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder); or
• A protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Additional Information

This position is 100% onsite in Palm Bay, FL.

Hours are on a compressed work week, 3 days- 7am to 7pm one week, and 4 days the next week. Both day and night shifts are available.
