Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Engineer - Ion Implant in East Fishkill, NY. The contract role offers an hourly rate of $100 with a rotating 12-hour night shift.

You will diagnose and repair ion implant equipment, lead maintenance projects, and work with AMAT/Varian and Axcelis systems in a 300mm semiconductor environment. The role requires 5+ years in ion equipment maintenance, deep knowledge of implant/EPI processes, and the ability to train and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years of Ion equipment maintenance experience including knowledge of the Implant and/or EPI area.
• Strong knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems and controls.

Responsibilities

• Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance and diagnose root causes.
• Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment per maintenance specs and manuals.
• Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges, and test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair.
• Drive solutions and guidelines; write maintenance procedures and specifications.
• Perform scheduled tool qualifications.
• Vendor management and coordination.
• Opportunity to lead by training and mentoring other technicians.

• Perform scheduled tool qualifications.
• Vendor management and coordination.
