Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Diffusion Equipment Maintenance Technician for our wafer fabrication facility in Palm Bay, Florida.

The role requires 5+ years supporting diffusion equipment and a solid background in semiconductor manufacturing, with emphasis on maintenance and problem-solving across pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, robotic, and electronic systems. The position is onsite in Palm Bay with a compressed 3-on/4-on schedule, day and night shifts available.

Qualifications

• AS or AA in electrical, mechanical, military training, or 5+ years relevant work experience.
• 5+ years supporting Diffusion equipment: Thermco TMX 9000/10000, SVG VTR 6000/7000.
• 5 years in semiconductor-manufacturing environment with 5 years in Equipment Maintenance Field.
• Able to troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems; define and implement solutions.
• Strong mechanical skills including pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
• Strong electronic skills; ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Experience with installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of electromechanical equipment.
• Experience diagnosing, testing, and repairing equipment using electrical repair procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong problem-solving ability.
• Knowledge of SPC and its use in manufacturing environments.

Diffusion Equipment Maintenance Technician – supports our wafer fabrication facility in Palm Bay, Florida.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• AS or AA in electrical, mechanical, military training, or 5+ years relevant work experience.

Experience Requirements / Skills

• 5+ years supporting Diffusion equipment: Thermco TMX 9000/10000, SVG VTR 6000/7000
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a semiconductor-manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Equipment Maintenance Field.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems; define and implement solutions.
• Strong mechanical skills:
• Demonstrable knowledge of pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and robotic systems
• Strong electronic skills:
• Understanding and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated knowledge in how to approach installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of electromechanical equipment.
• Demonstrated knowledge in diagnosing, testing, and repairing equipment by utilizing electrical repair procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Must have knowledge of SPC and know how it is used and implemented in the manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Due to the nature of this position and the required access to areas where ITAR-controlled articles and/or technical data may be present, candidates must meet the applicable U.S. person requirements for ITAR access. This includes individuals who are:

• A U.S. citizen or U.S. national;
• A lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder); or
• A protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).

Additional Information

This position is 100% onsite in Palm Bay, FL.

Hours are on a compressed work week, 3 days- 7am to 7pm one week, and 4 days the next week. Both day and night shifts are available.
