Job summary

Renesas Electronics is seeking an experienced Diffusion Equipment Maintenance Technician for our Palm Bay, FL fab. The role requires hands-on maintenance of diffusion tools and related electromechanical systems.

You will troubleshoot complex issues and implement robust repair strategies in a high‑volume environment. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and proficiency with schematics and drawings.

Qualifications

• AS or AA in electrical, mechanical, military training, or 5+ years relevant work experience.
• 5+ years supporting Diffusion equipment: Thermco TMX 9000/10000, SVG VTR 6000/7000.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a semiconductor-manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Equipment Maintenance Field.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems; define and implement solutions.
• Strong mechanical skills; Demonstrable knowledge of pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and robotic systems
• Strong electronic skills; Understanding schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Approach installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of electromechanical equipment
• Diagnosing, testing, and repairing equipment via electrical repair procedures
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; problem solving ability; SPC knowledge

Job Description

Renesas Electronics is looking for an experienced technician to fill the role of Diffusion Equipment Maintenance Technician supporting our wafer fabrication facility in Palm Bay, Florida. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent written and communication skills. This position offers development opportunities working for a leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance analog semiconductors. Education Requirements

• AS or AA in electrical, mechanical, military training, or 5+ years relevant work experience.

Experience Requirements / Skills:

• 5+ years supporting Diffusion equipment: Thermco TMX 9000/10000, SVG VTR 6000/7000
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a semiconductor-manufacturing environment with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Equipment Maintenance Field.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems; define and implement solutions.
• Strong mechanical skills:
• Demonstrable knowledge of pneumatic, vacuum, hydraulic, and robotic systems
• Strong electronic skills:
• Understanding and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Must have knowledge of SPC and know how it is used and implemented in the manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 40lbs.

Additional Information

This position is 100% onsite in Palm Bay, FL.

Hours are on a compressed work week, 3 days- 7am to 7pm one week, and 4 days the next week. Both day and night shifts are available.
