Job summary

onsemi EFK is seeking skilled technicians to join our state-of-the-art 300mm fab in East Fishkill, NY. You will sustain and run the fab floor, resolving equipment and process issues on a compressed 12-hour shift cycle in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Positions include a D1 shift: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and every other Wednesday, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in four quarterly installments. You must work across shifts and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with 300 mm diffusion furnace equipment.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
• Ability to review SPC charts and recognize out-of-control conditions.

Job Summary:

Onsemi EFK is seeking highly skilled and motivated technicians to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in East Fishkill, New York. Equipment/Maintenance Technicians sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. Technician positions are shift positions working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. Onsemi is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts.

D 1 Shift: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Wednesday, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM

Sign-on bonus: $5,000

Sign-On Bonus: Subject to your commencing employment with us, you will also be eligible to receive a sign-on award in the gross amount of $5,000, which will be paid in 4 quarterly payments of $1,250 each (subject to applicable taxes and payroll deductions). The first payment is payable within the first 30 days of you joining onsemi and quarterly thereafter for 3 additional payments. You must be an active employee with onsemi to receive these sign-on awards. In addition, if your employment is terminated with onsemi for any reason, the sign-on award(s) received as of the date of your termination do not need to be repaid to onsemi

• Monitor, control, and qualify state-of-the-art 300 mm diffusion furnace semiconductor equipment
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, preventive maintenance activities
• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment
• Review Statistical Process Control charts and other system indicators for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions, including defect troubleshooting
• Perform, and teach others how to perform, visual inspections (quality checks)
• Recover from process and tool interruptions
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost
• Complete all required reporting and documentation
• Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning, and skills development
• Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed, and perform other duties as assigned
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)

6-8 years of relevant experience

Travel - 0% to 10%

Fluency in English Language - written & verbal

Physical Capacity Demands - Able to perform shift work on a 12-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment per the semiconductor industry and Onsemi protocol/requirements.

Able to wear all required cleanroom & safety protective clothing and equipment throughout a 12-hour day (excluding breaks).

Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift (preventive maintenance) and/or process issues.

Able to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks)

Employees in this role may be required to participate in the site Emergency Response Brigade and support emergency preparedness activities. Participation includes maintaining required training, certifications, and response readiness in accordance with site policies and business needs.

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $23.51 to $41.06 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
