onsemi EFK is seeking highly skilled technicians for the East Fishkill, NY 300mm fab. Roles are 12-hour shift positions with a compressed work week in a 24/7 facility, focusing on equipment and process issue resolution.

A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered, paid in four quarterly installments. Base hourly pay ranges from $21.20 to $36.92, with benefits and safety protocols in place, and opportunity for continuous improvement within a global team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Travel: 0% to 10%.
• Fluency in English (written & verbal).
• Physical demands: able to work 12-hour shifts in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol.
• Able to wear cleanroom and safety gear throughout a 12-hour day.
• Able to lift at least 30 pounds periodically.
• Able to stand for most of a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, control, and qualify state-of-the-art 300 mm diffusion furnace semiconductor equipment.
• Perform and teach preventive maintenance activities.
• React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment.
• Review SPC charts and system indicators for process quality and react to out-of-control conditions.
• Perform and teach visual inspections (quality checks).
• Recover from process and tool interruptions.
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement to optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost.
• Complete all required reporting and documentation.
• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement processes and skills development.
• Collaborate with a global team and train new team members as needed.
• Perform all activities safely and support EH&S programs.

Day Shift 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, every other Wednesday, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM

Sign-on bonus: $5,000

Sign-On Bonus: Subject to your commencing employment with us, you will also be eligible to receive a sign-on award in the gross amount of $5,000, which will be paid in 4 quarterly payments of $1,250 each (subject to applicable taxes and payroll deductions). The first payment is payable within the first 30 days of you joining onsemi and quarterly thereafter for 3 additional payments. You must be an active employee with onsemi to receive these sign-on awards. In addition, if your employment is terminated with onsemi for any reason, the sign-on award(s) received as of the date of your termination do not need to be repaid to onsemi

• Perform, and teach others how to perform, visual inspections (quality checks)
• Recover from process and tool interruptions
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization, and cost
• Complete all required reporting and documentation
• Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning, and skills development
• Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed, and perform other duties as assigned
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)

• Physical Capacity Demands – Able to perform shift work on a 12-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment per the semiconductor industry and Onsemi protocol/requirements.
• Able to wear all required cleanroom & safety protective clothing and equipment throughout a 12-hour day (excluding breaks).
• Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift (preventive maintenance) and/or process issues.
• Able to perform work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks)

Employees in this role may be required to participate in the site Emergency Response Brigade and support emergency preparedness activities. Participation includes maintaining required training, certifications, and response readiness in accordance with site policies and business needs.

Hourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
