Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician (Dry Etch) to support plasma etch semiconductor equipment in a cleanroom. You will work nights (Nights 2, Thurs-Sat and alt Wed, 6pm-6am) with a focus on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and improvement efforts to maximize uptime.

The role requires a HS Diploma or GED, willingness to work with chemicals, and strong attention to detail. Previous cleanroom or etch tool experience is preferred, with opportunities to grow in

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols in the cleanroom.
• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on etch tools and subsystems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to root cause, including pumps, valves, RF delivery, sensors, and control components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment documentation.
• Communicate findings and tool status to engineering and peers.

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician (Dry Etch), you will support the performance, reliability, and uptime of plasma etch semiconductor manufacturing equipment within a cleanroom environment. This role is critical to maintaining tool availability and consistent processing performance.

You will be working directly with etch chambers, vacuum systems, RF power delivery, and many other components while collaborating closely with engineers to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve equipment.

Shift

Nights 2, Thurs-Sat and alt Wed, 6pm-6am

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety protocols
• Adhere strictly to cleanroom contamination control and gowning procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on etch tools and associated subsystems
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to root cause, including:
• Pumps, pneumatics, valves, and pressure monitoring systems
• RF delivery and impedance matching
• Sensors, heaters, and control components
• Conduct component-level diagnostics and repair when necessary
• Use basic statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor tool performance and identify trends
• Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance logs and equipment documentation
• Communicate technical findings, repeat issues, and tool status to engineering and peer teams
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, especially in chemical handling areas
• Identify and propose equipment or process improvements to enhance tool reliability and performance
• Support continuous improvement and uptime initiatives within the etch area

Minimum Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment, including full gowning and face covering
• Willingness to work around and safely handle chemicals used in various Dry Etch processes
• A strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completed an Associate’s (AS) degree
• Experience supporting or maintaining etch tools or similar semiconductor equipment
• Exposure to hazardous chemical handling and safety protocols
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or other cleanroom environments

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $26 to $33.
