Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Technician 2, Metrology to support wafer fabrication in a cleanroom. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize metrology equipment to ensure high tool availability and reliable measurements.

The role emphasizes structured troubleshooting, data-driven maintenance, and continuous improvement with a focus on SPC, documentation, and cross-functional teamwork. Day shift; 1st Shift/Days.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical/military experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years maintaining semiconductor processing equipment, prefer metrology tools.
  • Experience with KLA Surfscan, F5X, P170; TXRF/SPV a plus.
  • Strong ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced cleanroom.

Responsibilities

  • Follow cleanroom protocols, safety requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Monitor and respond to equipment performance trends in the module.
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance for reliability.
  • Execute structured troubleshooting to reduce downtime and improve recovery.
  • Document maintenance activities and share knowledge with the team.

Equipment Technician 2, Metrology

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technician to support semiconductor wafer fabrication operations in a cleanroom environment. In this role, you will help maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize metrology equipment to support high tool availability, reliable measurements, and continuous operational improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all cleanroom protocols, safety requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to equipment performance trends within the assigned module.
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance with a focus on root cause resolution and long-term equipment reliability.
  • Execute structured, model-based troubleshooting plans to reduce tool downtime and improve recovery time.
  • Analyze tool performance data during maintenance activities to identify trends, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.
  • Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to evaluate tool health, identify process deviations, and support stable manufacturing performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area in alignment with 5S principles.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, findings, corrective actions, and system updates.
  • Share technical knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices to support team development and cross-training.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase uptime, reduce long-duration downs, and lower cost of ownership.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or a related technical field; equivalent technical or military experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining semiconductor processing equipment, preferably including metrology tools.
  • Experience with KLA Surfscan, KLA F5X, KLA P170, and FRT preferred. TXRF and SPV experience a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, robotic, and vacuum systems, with demonstrated component-level troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and use diagnostic tools such as digital voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong communication, time management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail, strong follow-through, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cleanroom manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted; heavier lifting may require assistance.
