Qualifications

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Equipment Maintenance Technician with experience in heavy equipment maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair for a leading facility in Green Valley, Arizona.

Title : Equipment Maintenance Technician

Location - Green Valley, AZ,

Salary - 70-75K

Duties & Responsibilities

• Train facility staff on equipment systems, fleet maintenance procedures, and repair best practices.
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on Caterpillar heavy equipment and related systems.
• Support pre-production machine serviceability evaluations for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
• Assemble and disassemble heavy equipment and attachments for testing, maintenance, and evaluation activities.
• Load and unload machines upon arrival and departure from the facility.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, software applications, and troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Complete service letters and required maintenance activities on Caterpillar equipment fleets.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, attachments, parts inventory, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure service bay areas are clean, organized, and compliant with Caterpillar Contamination Control Guidelines.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Caterpillar product groups to support Tinaja Hills facility operations and fleet requirements.
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Apply sound decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Support day-to-day facility operations while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical certifications in heavy equipment repair, welding, diesel technology, or related fields are highly preferred.
• Experience in heavy equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting is required.
• Experience in construction, mining, or off-highway equipment industries is strongly preferred.
• Experience with assembly and disassembly of heavy equipment and major machine components is preferred.
• Welding experience and/or certification is preferred.
• Experience using diagnostic tools, software applications, and troubleshooting equipment systems is required.
• Ability to work onsite full-time at the Tinaja Hills facility in Green Valley, Arizona.

• Collaborative team environment consisting of Equipment Technicians, Facility Operations Technicians, and Maintenance personnel.
• Reports directly to the Facility Operations Manager.
• Work is performed in a heavy equipment testing, maintenance, and manufacturing support environment.
