Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize equipment used in assembly and test processes. You will ensure maximum uptime, quality, and throughput by performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and process monitoring.

The role requires PLC-based fault diagnosis, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and coordination with engineering for complex issues.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience with PLCs, mechanical/electrical systems, and diagnostics.
  • Soldering experience and solder certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment and fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Repair or replace defective components, parts, and assemblies.
  • Maintain PM records and equipment logs; assist with installation and validation of new equipment.
  • Follow safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures; support continuous improvement initiatives.

This role ensures maximum uptime, quality, and throughput of production lines by performing preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and process monitoring.What You’ll Do:Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment and fixtures.Utilize knowledge of PLC-controlled systems to assist in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting equipment, program verification, and coordination with engineering resources when required.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, digital, pneumatic, and control system issues.Repair or replace defective components, parts, and assemblies.Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential failures before breakdowns occur.Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related equipment issues to minimize downtime.Maintain accurate PM records and equipment logs.Provide feedback to the engineering team on program performance and process issues.Assist with installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.Follow OSHA, company safety policies, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.Ensure equipment operates in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Maintain a safe and organized work area.Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement activities.Requires coordination with the property owner to address HVAC, major plumbing, and roofing issues.What You Need:High School Diploma or GED.
