Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a caregiver for our facilities team in Cleveland, OH. You will help create a comfortable, safe environment by focusing on medical devices, equipment maintenance and project support. Although you may not interact with patients directly, your work will impact patient care across our health system.

Shifts are days, 6:00am–2:30pm. Key duties include asset recovery, troubleshooting and repair of devices, supplying rooms, stocking, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with hospital medical device logistics/repair preferred.
• Proficiency with web apps, databases and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Perform targets rounding in active patient areas to recover assets for processing and redistribution.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair specified medical devices.
• Assist with and/or leads special projects as designated.
• Order supplies and ensure adherence to unit/department budget, as needed.
• Stock patient rooms or deploy supplies for use, as needed.

A caregiver in this position works days, 6:00am—2:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of Hospital Medical Device Logistics/Repair Experience OR additional experience in Hospital Operations, Logistics or related military training
• Proficiency in web applications, databases, and spreadsheets

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Associate's Degree
• Training in operations, lean/Six Sigma and/or process improvement

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

• Ability to inspect equipment.
• Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures.
• Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products.
• Ability to distinguish color.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $15.75

Maximum hourly: $21.65
