Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is seeking an Equipment Logistics Technician I to locate, retrieve and redeploy medical equipment for timely processing and redistribution for the Telemetry Unit. You will also clean, evaluate, inspect and deliver specified medical devices and equipment, including infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts and trays.

The role requires ability to perform work during daytime hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospital experience and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

As Equipment Logistics Technician I, you will perform targeted activities to locate, retrieve, and redeploy medical equipment for timely processing and redistribution for the Telemetry Unit. You will also clean, evaluate, inspect, and deliver specified medical devices and equipment, including infusion pumps, syringe pumps, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, DVT pumps, specialty beds, specialty carts, and procedural trays.

A caregiver in this role works days from 7:00 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform targeted rounding in active patient areas to recover assets for processing and redistribution.
• Clean, deliver, evaluate and inspect specified medical devices.
• Document work activity in an electronic database.
• Deliver and recover specialty carts and procedural trays.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hospital experience
• Customer service experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

• Ability to clean, operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products.
• Ability to distinguish color.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range:

Minimum hourly: $15.25

Maximum hourly: $19.60
