Rentix Solutions, formed from JDC and Vacuum Truck Rentals, seeks an Equipment Check-In Technician to prepare incoming equipment through inspections, function tests, and documentation. This entry-level role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and basic computer use.

During slower periods you may shadow senior technicians and assist with shop tasks, gaining hands-on experience with GPS installations and equipment readiness for customers. Outdoor work around trucks is common.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position suitable for those with mechanical aptitude and interest in trucks or heavy equipment.
• Ability to complete paperwork and communicate by email.
• Willingness to work outdoors around trucks and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-delivery inspections on specialty equipment.
• Test equipment functions and report issues.
• Inspect for leaks, damage, or abnormalities.
• Perform water tests where applicable.
• Install GPS tracking devices and wiring.
• Document serial numbers and equipment records.
• Assist with check-ins/check-outs and licensing coordination.
• Support shop and equipment prep during slower periods.
