Description

Calibrated To Exceed Expectations

Own the job. Lead in the field. Deliver real results. At UniFide CST, our customers count on us to execute complex equipment installations where precision, coordination, and strong field leadership matter. From large-scale weighing systems and industrial equipment installs to concrete, rigging, and site construction, every project directly impacts our customers’ operations. We’re looking for an Equipment Installation Project Manager who turns plans into reality. Someone who thrives on being on-site, solving problems in real time, coordinating skilled trades, and driving projects through to completion. If you’re a construction or industrial project manager who prefers the field over the desk and wants true ownership without the chaos of large general contractor environments, this is your opportunity to lead, build, and deliver work you can stand behind.

Who We Are:

UniFide CST delivers complete weighing solutions, from equipment to field service, supporting critical operations across industrial, food, agriculture, and construction.

The Role:

This isn’t a desk-bound project management position.

As our Equipment Installation Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of projects from planning through final commissioning, ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, on time, and to the highest standards. You’ll coordinate customers, subcontractors, technicians, vendors, and internal as well as external teams while serving as the driving force behind project execution.

Projects range from truck scale installations and industrial weighing systems to concrete work, rigging operations, and large-scale equipment installations, often within active customer facilities where coordination, communication, and adaptability are critical.

Success in this role requires equal parts leadership, organization, technical awareness, and field presence. You’ll be empowered to make decisions, solve problems as they arise, and ensure every project delivers an exceptional customer experience.

What Success Looks Like (Day In The Life):

On any given day, you might:

  • Conduct a pre-installation meeting with a customer, electricians, concrete contractors, and crane operators to align schedules and expectations
  • Visit an active job site to monitor progress, resolve field challenges, and keep work moving safely and efficiently
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries, rigging services, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure installation sequencing stays on track
  • Adjust project schedules in real time due to weather, site conditions, or customer operational requirements
  • Review project costs, manage change orders, and identify opportunities to protect project margins
  • Develop site layouts and project documentation to support installation planning
  • Communicate project updates to customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring everyone remains informed and aligned
  • Partner with sales and service teams to ensure projects are scoped correctly and executed profitably
  • Resolve unforeseen field issues while maintaining customer confidence and project momentum
  • Verify installation quality, safety compliance, and readiness for final commissioning

Over time, success looks like:

  • Projects delivered on time and within budget
  • Customers who trust UniFide CST to execute their most critical installations
  • Strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Safe, organized, and efficient job sites
  • Consistent project profitability and margin performance
  • Reliable project processes that improve execution across the organization
  • A reputation for delivering exceptional customer experiences from start to finish
Who You Are:

You’re someone who:

  • Takes ownership and accountability for project outcomes
  • Hands‑on and not afraid to jump in when needed
  • Thrives in fast‑paced environments with multiple priorities and moving parts
  • Enjoys being in the field and solving real‑world problems
  • Communicates confidently with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Can balance customer expectations, project schedules, and financial objectives
  • Thinks proactively, identifying risks before they become problems
  • Is highly organized without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Leads through influence, coordination, and follow‑through
  • You likely bring experience in project management, construction management, industrial installations, field operations, equipment installation, or a related environment. Experience coordinating subcontractors, managing project budgets, and leading field execution will position you well for success.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3‑7+ years of experience in construction, industrial, or equipment installation project management
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multi‑trade job sites
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, sequencing, and cost control
  • The ability to run projects in the field, not just coordinate from a desk
  • Strong organization and adaptability
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with rigging, crane coordination, or site prep
  • Mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems background
  • Experience working in active manufacturing or processing environments
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • 3 weeks PTO
  • 8 paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Local travel - most work is within the region (home most nights)
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • A team‑first culture where leadership, accountability, and collaboration matter
Why UniFide CST:

If you’re looking for a role where your decisions matter, your work is visible, and your impact extends beyond a project schedule, this is that opportunity. At UniFide CST, you’ll have the autonomy to lead projects your way, the support of experienced teams behind you, and the opportunity to shape how we execute some of our most important customer installations. You won’t simply manage projects; you’ll own outcomes, build relationships, solve meaningful challenges, and help create the next chapter of growth for our organization.
