Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced, noisy environment around moving equipment.
• Regularly lift 50lbs and occasionally lift up to 100lbs.
• Must inspect vehicles to determine repairs needed.
• Good vision to inspect repair work.
• Able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge or willingness to learn how to identify tractor, trailer, and refer defects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Inspects tractors and trailers to identify defects.
• Records defects in maintenance system.
• Communicates defects to driver and shop personnel to arrange repairs.
• Maintains positive relationships with shop staff and drivers.
• Receives and carries out instructions.
• Maintains regular attendance.
