Job summary

Crete Carrier Corporation is seeking a skilled technician to inspect and diagnose brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering, transmissions, drive trains, and tires for tractors, trailers, and refrigeration equipment.

The role includes performing preventative maintenance such as oil changes, fluid checks, battery inspections, light testing, and lubrication, while maintaining positive relationships and regular attendance. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication is required.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
• Excellent mechanical repair skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion.
• Ability to read work orders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs brake systems, engines, electrical components, steering systems, transmissions, drive trains, and tires for tractors, trailers, and refrigeration equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance services, including changing oil, checking fluids, inspecting batteries, testing lights, and lubricating equipment.
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned.
