Job summary

Mennonite Disaster Service in Columbus, MS is seeking a Full-Time equipment technician to service and repair vehicles, trailers and associated equipment for deployment to project locations. The role reports to the Fleet and Logistics Manager and requires hands-on maintenance, documentation, and coordination with volunteers.

Qualifications

Three or more years of equipment maintenance experience.
High School diploma or GED is required.
Driver’s license is required; CDL Class A preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Intermediate understanding of equipment maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

Identify and facilitate maintenance and repairs of vehicles, trailers, and other equipment.
Prepare/receive/process vehicles, trailers, equipment, tools and supplies to/from projects including proper documentation
Troubleshoot needed repairs to determine next steps
Perform vehicle repairs as able
Collaborate with warehouse coordinator and volunteers
Assist with project set up and closing as needed
