Trans-Tech in Adamstown, MD is seeking an Equipment Engineering/Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair electro‑mechanical manufacturing equipment. You will disassemble, repair, and assemble equipment per plans, use diagnostics for checkouts, and perform rebuilds as needed.

The role features a Monday–Friday first shift with potential overtime and opportunities to move to off shift. Training and teamwork are emphasized in a dynamic production environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training.
• Able to work in ambient 85–110°F environment.
• Capable of climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Understand PLCs, HMIs and controllers for temperature and motors.
• Experience using VOM to check voltage, amperage & resistance.
• Able to read electrical schematics and OEM manuals.
• Team player and able to work independently.
• Collaborate with technicians to resolve equipment interruptions.
• Adaptable to changes in equipment and procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on scheduled cycles.

Equipment Engineering/Maintenance Technician

Primary Responsibilities:

The technician will perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. This includes dismantling, adjusting, repairing, and assembling equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings. Will use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Will rebuild manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.

Work Schedule:

First Shift Monday-Friday

Overtime as required.

Opportunity to move to off shift as suited

Job Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent, as well as Technical School Training, Military or Electrical Engineering Technology Training
• Capable of working in ambient temperatures of 85–110-degree F environment.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and steps, plus lifting to 50 lbs.
• Understanding of PLC’s, HMI’s, and other types of controllers for temperature, motors and automation.
• Knowledge and hands‑on experience using VOM to check voltage, amperage & resistance of AC/DC circuits. Ability to use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve interruptions of electro‑mechanical primary & sub‑systems on manufacturing equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, process gases, mechanical and electronic motion components.
• Ability to comprehend electrical schematics and OEM manuals. Intuitive understanding of process sequences to isolate & repair problems in production machinery.
• Capable of working with team & independently as time & urgency permits.
• Ability to work with a group of technicians to assist & be assisted in resolving production equipment interruptions.
• Adaptable to changes in equipment, software, technology and procedures.
• Performing rudimentary and complex preventive maintenance on scheduled cycles.

Preferred Skills:

• AC & DC Electrical, Electronic Controls, Pneumatic & Hydraulic troubleshooting experience.
• Experience using PLC software, such as RSLogix 500/5000, DirectSoft, etc.
• Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, Access
