Job summary

Actalent Services, LLC in Redmond, WA seeks a hands-on Equipment Engineer to support the assembly, integration, testing, and validation of custom test stations used for product sub-assembly and final assembly verification.

You'll work closely with engineering to build, configure, troubleshoot, and validate test systems while ensuring compliance with engineering specs, quality standards, and safety requirements. Experience in electromechanical assembly is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on engineering tech experience.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and electromechanical integration.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware/electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and test equipment.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and configure custom test stations per docs and BOMs.
• Install mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components for test systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware and system integration issues.
• Perform functional testing, validation, and record results.
• Manage cable routing, wiring, connectors, and fiber handling.
• Review drawings, BOMs, and configuration requirements for builds.
• Document build issues, actions, and test findings throughout the project.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure test readiness and deployment.
• Support validation activities while meeting schedules and quality standards.
• Follow ITAR, CUI, and customer compliance requirements.
