Job summary

SkyWater Technology in Florida is seeking an Equipment Engineer to own and optimize semiconductor processing toolsets across multiple areas, including Wet Etch, Electroplating, CMP and Die Attach. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, collaboration with maintenance and process engineering, and delivering cost-effective improvements to fab productivity.

The position requires experience with high vacuum and toxic gas delivery systems, plus strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Eng, Materials Science, Physics or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in the respective area.
• Experience must include High Vacuum and Toxic Gas Delivery systems.
• Experience with structured problem-solving methodology.
• Positive interpersonal skills, energetic and self-motivated.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities.
• US Citizenship required for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for 200/300MM semiconductor processing equipment in Wet Etch, Electroplating, CMP, Die Attach.
• Drive root cause corrective actions for equipment failures with process engineering and maintenance.
• Lead continuous improvement to improve tool matching, availability, throughput, and risk reduction.
• Execute tool start-up and upgrades to increase fab capability and yields.
• Coordinate with maintenance, production, and development with minimal supervision.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to create efficiencies across the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
