Job summary

Texas Instruments is seeking a qualified Equipment Engineer to join a dynamic, team‑oriented manufacturing environment in Texas. You will evaluate and select equipment, oversee installation and upgrades, and ensure reliability and uptime for critical production lines.

The role requires a engineering degree and hands-on semiconductor manufacturing experience, with strong analytical and collaboration skills to support process engineering and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in an engineering discipline such as EE, EC, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science or Physics.
  • 4 years of relevant semiconductor manufacturing experience as an Equipment Engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, select, and order equipment to manufacture company products cost-effectively.
  • Oversee installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance, reliability, and safety issues; stay current with notices and upgrades.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluating, selecting, and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products
  • Overseeing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Keeping current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues
  • Studying equipment performance and reliability
  • Establishing programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process
  • Providing technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
  • Defining and writing preventative maintenance schedules
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
  • 4 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer
Preferred Qualifications
  • Equipment experience with Implant Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Experience with equipment from multiple areas of manufacturing
  • Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and SPC techniques
  • Experienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
