Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics seeks a Warehouse Equipment Engineer to support automation projects across our US network. You will plan, install, commission and integrate new equipment with existing warehouse operations to ensure reliable performance.

This full‑time role offers a base salary plus annual bonus, with opportunities to collaborate across Engineering, IT, and Operations in a fast-paced environment in Atlanta, GA or New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
• 1+ year experience with warehouse automation equipment or related field.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and automation equipment.
• Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.
• Data analysis for performance improvements.
• Strong communication and collaboration, English required.

Responsibilities

• Automation Project Implementation: plan and execute warehouse automation projects, including installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment.
• SOP Development & Training: develop SOPs for operation and maintenance and train operators.
• Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
• Equipment Performance & CI: monitor data and drive improvements to increase utilization and reduce downtime.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with Warehouse Operations, Planning, IT, Engineering to resolve issues.

About The Team

Position: Warehouse Equipment Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA or New Jersey

Employment Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $60,000 - $90,000 Annual Base Salary + Annual Performance Bonus

What You'll Do:

• Automation Project Implementation: Assist in planning and executing warehouse automation projects, including the installation, implementation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment with existing warehouse operations and systems.
• SOP Development & Training: Develop and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the operation and maintenance of automated equipment. Provide training to operators to ensure safe, standardized, and efficient equipment usage.
• Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated equipment. Respond promptly to equipment abnormalities and issues to ensure stable and reliable operations.
• Equipment Performance & Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify factors affecting efficiency and reliability. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment utilization, improve operational efficiency, and reduce downtime.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Planning, IT, Engineering, and other relevant teams to resolve equipment and operational issues and ensure automation systems continuously and reliably support warehouse operations.

About You:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant Experience: 1+ year of experience with warehouse automation equipment, industrial equipment, equipment maintenance, or a related field. Strong entry-level candidates and recent graduates may also be considered.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of mechanical systems, automation equipment, and related control systems, with the ability to understand equipment operating principles and common failure modes.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Hands-on experience with equipment inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, with the ability to independently analyze and resolve equipment-related issues.
• Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Basic ability to analyze equipment operating data and identify opportunities for performance and reliability improvements through data-driven problem solving.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Warehouse Operations, Engineering, IT, and other cross-functional teams.
• Language Skills: Strong English communication skills required. Proficiency in Chinese or other languages is a plus.
