- Establish equipment engineering processes to run production tools
- Establish maintenance-related processes for production tools
- Maintain documentation according to quality standards
- Interact closely with equipment suppliers
- Address and resolve escalation of tool issues
- Develop and train maintenance technicians and new engineers
- Create training materials and perform hands-on training
- Review tool alarms (OCAPs), FDC signals, and blocked modules on a daily basis
- Create shift request plans for maintenance technicians or vendors
- Analyze trace data for tool health and quality issues
- Proactively address concerning tool health and quality signals
- Set up equipment Key Performance Indicator (KPIs)
- Monitor and adjust KPIs according to company goals
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of semiconductor process tool concerns
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction projects
- Exchange knowledge of best-known methods and improvement levers with other engineers
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner
- Support all Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security requirements and programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related science/engineering discipline
- Experience with tool schematics including electrical, PIDs, and utilities diagrams
- Experience with data analysis and statistical process control
- Experience working in micro/nano fabrication cleanroom and/or nano material facility
- 3-5+ years of experience preferred

- Familiarity with semiconductor processing and equipment concepts, practices, and procedures
- Knowledge of laboratory and chemical safety procedures
- Ability to interpret and generate documents related to safety rules, operations, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Physical Requirements/Restrictions
Must be able to:
- Wear cleanroom attire, including protective eye gear, for up to 8 hours per day
- Sit, bend, stand, walk, 8 hours per day
- Lift and transport equipment/materials up to 35 lbs.
Other Requirements
- Due to facility requirements, must be a US citizen.
- Must be able to work flexible hours based on company needs
