Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to organize daily equipment dispatch for the Richmond, VA branch. You will schedule drivers, manage deliveries, pickups and service requests to meet customers' operational needs.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license and knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules. You will work in a safety-conscious, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Strong safety orientation and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and organize dispatch of all equipment for the branch.
• Assist in taking customer telephone orders for deliveries, pickups and service.
• Arrange for all emergency field repairs.
• Answer customer calls and review driver schedules to fulfill requests.
• Assist Inside sales team as needed.
