Job summary

Continental Services is seeking an Equipment Deployment Specialist in South Bend to support the installation and removal of vending and market equipment. You will prepare equipment for deployment, perform installations, and coordinate with managers and customers to choose the best action.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and IT knowledge. The position emphasizes safety, efficient equipment handling, and reliable testing of machines to ensure

Responsibilities

• Supports installation or removal of vending and market equipment.
• Prepares equipment and handles installations/removals for current and new accounts.
• Assists with basic carpentry, millwork installation, electrical, plumbing, and IT connections.
• Coordinates with managers and customers to determine the best course of action for equipment installation/removal.
• Drives to locations within the region to install or remove equipment.
• Moves equipment from warehouse to customer site and back using proper handling gear.
• Performs daily vehicle checks and reports issues, maintains safe workflow.

The Experience You’ll Create:

The Equipment Deployment Specialist supports the installation or removal of vending and market equipment.

• Prepares equipment for installation at accounts and does all installations and removals for current and new accounts.
• Needs to have basic knowledge of finished carpentry, millwork installation, electrical connections, plumbing connections, and IT connections.
• Works with Managers and customers to determine the best course of action to install or remove equipment.
• Install team drives to locations throughout region.
• Responsible for moving equipment from warehouse to customer site or the reverse using proper handling equipment.
• Unload and clean trash from delivery vehicle, perform daily vehicle operative checks, report vehicle problems to the proper parties, secure keys and vehicle.
• Sets up and operates mechanical equipment and small hand tools for equipment repair, installation and/or removal.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely.
• Test and fill machines to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; including basic CAD drawings with measurements.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and push or pull up to 700 pounds aided by heavy equipment.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk or radiation; and vibration.
