Job summary

Coastal Construction Equipment, LLC, the Southern Florida CAT Compact Equipment Dealer, is seeking an Equipment Delivery Specialist to ensure safe, timely delivery, setup, and handoff of equipment to job sites and customers.

You will drive machines regionally, conduct walk-arounds, provide operator training on controls and telematics, and support customers with tech features while upholding DOT and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience training customers on machine operation, controls, and software applications.
• Working knowledge of equipment technology, telematics, onboard displays, and operator systems.
• Strong presentation, communication, and customer education skills.
• Ability to explain technical information to customers with varying levels of equipment experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivery and drop-off of equipment.
• Transport machinery to customer locations; Driving regionally is required.
• Conduct equipment walk-arounds and provide customers with operational instructions, safety information, and basic machine functionality training.
• Train customers on onboard machine technology, telematics systems, displays, and software applications associated with the equipment.
• Demonstrate key machine features and verify customer understanding prior to equipment handoff.
• Answer customer questions regarding equipment operation, controls, and software functions, and coordinate additional support resources when necessary.
• Ensure customers are aware of available technology features that improve productivity, efficiency, and equipment performance.
• Promote safe work practices and proper equipment handling; support training of new drivers or team members when requested; represent the company professionally during customer interactions.

The Coastal Construction Equipment Delivery Specialist is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional transportation, delivery, pickup, and setup of construction equipment, attachments, and related products to customer locations, job sites, and company facilities. An Equipment Delivery Specialist will drive machines to the customer’s location. This position serves as a key customer-facing representative of the company by ensuring equipment is delivered in excellent condition, providing equipment orientation, operational instruction, and basic software training when appropriate, maintaining accurate delivery documentation, and adhering to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards. The role plays a critical part in supporting customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, equipment adoption, and the overall success of equipment delivery operations.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience providing equipment demonstrations, customer orientations, or operator training.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar technology platforms, telematics systems, machine control systems, and customer-facing software solutions.
• Ability to confidently present equipment features and technology benefits to customers.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Additional training in transportation, logistics, or equipment operation is beneficial

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Promote safe work practices and proper equipment handling
• Support training of new drivers or team members when requested
• Represent the company professionally during customer interactions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and safety standards

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Experience operating trucks, trailers, and loading equipment

• Familiarity with GPS systems, routing tools, or delivery software

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to lift, secure, and move equipment or materials as needed
• Ability to climb onto trailers, operate ramps, and handle tie downs
• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to manage multiple deliveries and maintain attention to detail

Work Environment:

• Work performed in trucks, customer job sites, branch yards, and outdoor environments
• Frequent interaction with customers, dispatch, and equipment teams
• Fast paced environment requiring adaptability and safe decision making
• Standard business hours with occasional overtime based on delivery needs
