Sinclair Tractor in Durant, IA seeks an Equipment Delivery Driver to transport equipment for the dealership and assist the sales team with deliveries. You will maintain records, comply with DOT/OSHA rules, and ensure safe, timely deliveries of John Deere equipment.

Applicants should have a CDL A, clean driving record, and at least one year of heavy equipment hauling experience; dependability and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• CDL A License Required
• Clean Driving Record Required
• Minimum 1-year experience as semi-trailer truck operator, hauling heavy equipment
• Ability to work independently and exercise excellent judgment to reflect the company's values
• Dependability and consistency is a must
• Familiar with pallet jack and forklift

Purpose

Job Description:
Operates vehicles to transport equipment for dealership. May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

• Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pick-up new equipment from a John Deere factory
• Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed
• Maintains activity records and obtains necessary signatures and receipts
• Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA and company policy
• Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties
• May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures as required
• May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsMaintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products

Required Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
