Chubb is seeking an Equipment Breakdown Risk Engineer for the Southeast Region. This position involves conducting thorough inspections for commercial insurance, assessing risks, and providing valuable recommendations to enhance safety and compliance for clients. The role is essential in maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and managing inspections across several states.
We are currently seeking applicants for an Equipment Breakdown Risk Engineer (EBRE) for the Southeast Region. The EBRE operates within the Risk Consulting Department and provides value-added services for our commercial insurance policyholders. The Nashville (NAS) Risk Consulting EBRE team offers risk evaluation surveys, accident investigation evaluations, client services, and jurisdictional inspections in West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and Arkansas.
The primary focus of this position is to conduct boiler and pressure vessel inspections in accordance with jurisdictional rules. This involves performing thorough examinations, identifying hazardous conditions, applying appropriate codes and standards, recommending corrective actions, and submitting reports. The individual will communicate with customers about how these recommendations impact their business and suggest appropriate courses of action.
The individual will perform risk evaluations, assess exposures and controls, develop loss estimates, and communicate findings to business partners. Responsibilities include applying critical thinking to evaluate the adequacy of controls, the likelihood and magnitude of loss, and overall insurability. The Equipment Breakdown Risk Engineer will also conduct claims investigations, including evaluating the accident elements, damage extent, damage verification, invoice review, and cause of loss.
