Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Denver, CO is hiring an Equipment Associate to perform a variety of manual tasks and provide labor support for trench safety equipment.

You will help prepare customer orders, conduct equipment checks, and assist with service calls, with a strong emphasis on safety and following procedures. The role offers progression toward the Driver development program, a team‑oriented environment, and opportunities to learn across a broad range of equipment and tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience operating medium to large forklifts preferred.
• Knowledge of trench safety equipment is an advantage but not required.
• PPE and work boots provided by the company.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for rental.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries about equipment.
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs.
• Remove and install decals; conduct basic cosmetic/structural fixes as needed.
• Plan and oversee Fleet Technician workflow to maximize shop productivity and safety.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to stage, load, and organize units.
