Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Equipment Associate to support trench safety branch operations and labor tasks. You will assist in preparing customer orders, loading/unloading equipment, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, verifying delivery tickets, greeting customers, and recommending equipment to meet needs. A safety‑minded, reliable team player with a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience operating medium to large forklifts preferred.
• Knowledge of trench safety equipment is an advantage but not required.
• Some knowledge of computers and phone apps.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, load and unload equipment, assist with deliveries and prepare equipment for rental.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries about equipment.
• Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
